About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy store environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide a quick and easy customer experience, and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work in different areas of the store as needed.

Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operating point-of-sale systems; bagging merchandise and handling bulky items; supporting fitting rooms; returning clothing to the salesfloor; organizing stockrooms; checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards; and promoting programs such as Nordstrom Rewards.

Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized salesfloors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, backroom organization, markdowns, and fixture relocation. The role requires effective communication, accountability, initiative, organization, attention to detail, prioritization, and schedule flexibility based on business needs.

• Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• For Stock and Fulfillment roles: ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Keep the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
• Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including point-of-sale operation and bagging merchandise.
• Handle bulky and sometimes heavy merchandise while providing a seamless and friendly customer experience.
• Support fitting rooms by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing.
• Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
• Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
• Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
