About The Position
The Seasonal Customer Service & Sales Floor Support team member works in a fast-paced, high-energy Nordstrom Rack environment, helping make the customer experience quick, easy, and enjoyable. Multiple roles are available in Sales, Cashier, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Cashier responsibilities include creating a smooth fitting-room experience, supporting Nordstrom Rewards initiatives, organizing stockrooms and inventory, keeping the sales floor ready through merchandising and straightening, assisting with transactions, using store technologies, and resolving customer concerns. Stock Support and Fulfillment responsibilities include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems, maintaining organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as event setup, markdowns, and moving fixtures. The role requires a flexible schedule based on business needs. Stock Support and Fulfillment roles require frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. The pay range is $19.00–$19.80 per hour, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Create a smooth fitting-room experience by greeting customers, taking them to fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
- Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
- Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
- Keep the sales floor runway ready through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
- Assist customers with transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
- Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
- Defuse customer situations and provide timely, effective resolutions.
- Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
- Fulfill customer orders promptly while following quality standards.
- Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
- Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
- Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
- Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, handling markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
