About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal team member to support Sales, Customer Service, Stock, or Fulfillment. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may occasionally work in different areas of the store to support floor and stockroom cleanliness and help customers find merchandise. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the salesfloor ready through re-merchandising and straightening, assisting with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, providing fitting room assistance, sorting and returning clothing, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role involves frequent movement and physical handling of merchandise. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor ready by re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using a point-of-sale system; bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Sort and return clothing to the salesfloor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards and promote Nordstrom Rewards.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare and ship orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
