About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring team members for Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments at Oakbrook Place Rack. Team members work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, provide customers with a quick and easy experience, and help keep the store clean and clutter-free. Employees may work in different areas of the store as needed. Sales and Customer Service duties include maintaining a salesfloor that is ready for customers through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bagging items and handling bulky or heavy merchandise; supporting fitting room customers and returning clothing to the salesfloor; organizing stockrooms and checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and unloading freight, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to scan and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and supporting store activities such as events, markdowns, backroom organization, and fixture relocation. The position involves continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift and frequent physical activity. Pay is $17.45–$18.15 per hour; actual offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles: ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain a customer-ready salesfloor through re-merchandising, filling, and straightening merchandise.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems, and provide a friendly checkout experience.
Bag items and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room customers and sort and return clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep the salesfloor clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
