About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy experience. Team members help keep the store clean and clutter-free and may work in different areas of the store, including sales, customer service, stock, and fulfillment. Sales and customer service duties include maintaining and replenishing the salesfloor, cashiering across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, assisting customers in fitting rooms, returning clothing to the salesfloor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock support and fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining clean and organized salesfloors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing backrooms, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The hourly pay range is $17.45–$18.15, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Ability to move continuously for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For stock and fulfillment roles: ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain salesfloor presentation by replenishing, sizing, re-merchandising, and straightening merchandise.
Assist customers with cashiering and transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; operate point-of-sale systems, bag merchandise, and provide friendly service.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Keep customer areas clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use technologies required in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner and prepare orders for shipment according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
