About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Depending on business needs, you may work in different areas of the store, helping maintain the sales floor and stockrooms and assisting customers. Available work includes Sales and Customer Service as well as Stock Support and Fulfillment. Stock Support and Fulfillment shifts start at 3:30 a.m.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway ready by re-merchandising, straightening, and replenishing merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems, bag items, and handle bulky or heavy items while providing friendly service.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
