About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring seasonal team members for multiple roles in Sales, Cashier, Stock, and/or Fulfillment. Team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy store environment to make the customer experience quick, easy, and enjoyable while helping customers find deals. Applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Cashier team members support fitting rooms, encourage participation in Nordstrom Rewards, keep stockrooms organized, maintain an orderly sales floor, assist with transactions, use store technologies, and resolve customer concerns. Stock Support and Fulfillment team members receive and process merchandise, fulfill and ship customer orders, use inventory management systems, maintain organized selling floors and stockrooms, and provide general store support. The listed pay range is $19.00–$19.80 per hour. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Benefit eligibility may depend on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.

Requirements

For Stock Support or Fulfillment roles, the ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Create a smooth fitting-room experience by greeting customers, taking them to fitting rooms, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Keep stockrooms organized and complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is checked in and ticketed accurately.
Keep the sales floor runway-ready by re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with transactions in a seamless and friendly manner.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Defuse customer situations and provide timely, effective resolutions.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
