About The Position

Seasonal Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and provide customers with a quick, easy experience. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; candidates can discuss their preferred role during the interview. Team members may work in different areas of the store to help customers, maintain clean and organized sales floors and stockrooms, and support store operations. Sales and Customer Service duties include keeping the salesfloor organized, assisting customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, operating point-of-sale systems, supporting fitting rooms, returning clothing to the salesfloor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, following operational and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment duties include receiving and processing freight and merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders to quality standards, using inventory management systems to scan and research shipments, keeping sales floors and stockrooms organized, and providing general store support such as setting up events, completing markdowns, organizing backrooms, and relocating fixtures. The listed pay range is $21.00–$21.85 per hour. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Stock and Fulfillment roles require frequently lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor runway ready, sized, and stocked through re-merchandising and straightening.
Assist customers with cashiering and in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems, bag items, and handle bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting-room customers and sort and return clothing to the salesfloor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and according to quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
