About The Position

The Retail Client Advisor delivers elevated hospitality and personalized customer experiences in Boll & Branch’s retail environment. The role involves learning customers’ needs, offering tailored product and sleep-solution recommendations, and supporting in-store, virtual, and in-home design consultations. Advisors build lasting customer relationships through clienteling and follow-up, educate customers about Boll & Branch products and craftsmanship, and contribute to sales and store performance. The position also supports day-to-day store operations, visual merchandising, cash handling, opening and closing procedures, safety and loss prevention, and general housekeeping. Advisors may participate in in-home appointments and installations, store events, designer partnerships, and other community initiatives. The schedule is flexible according to business needs and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a part-time seasonal role.

Requirements

At least 1 year of retail sales experience; equivalent experience and transferable skills will also be considered.
Passion for hospitality and creating meaningful customer relationships.
Experience with consultative selling, clienteling, or personalized customer service.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to build rapport and engage customers naturally.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort using Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets), POS systems, and other retail technology.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders or step stools, and perform in-home services, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to complete the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Availability for a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

Retail sales experience in specialty retail, luxury retail, home furnishings, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment.
Bilingual ability in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers with warmth, authenticity, and genuine hospitality.
Listen to customers’ needs and provide thoughtful, personalized recommendations.
Deliver in-store, virtual, and in-home design consultation experiences.
Build customer relationships through proactive clienteling and follow-up to encourage repeat business.
Develop expertise in Boll & Branch products, materials, craftsmanship, and sleep solutions, and educate customers about them.
Help customers design their spaces based on sleeping habits, style preferences, and lifestyle needs.
Achieve and exceed individual sales goals while contributing to overall store performance.
Partner with teammates to support a collaborative selling culture and exceptional customer experiences.
Identify sales opportunities through product education, cross-selling, and personalized recommendations.
Participate in store events, designer partnerships, and other community initiatives.
Keep the store clean, organized, beautifully presented, and aligned with brand standards.
Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling, register reconciliation, and other operational routines.
Execute visual merchandising direction and maintain product presentation.
Follow safety, security, and loss prevention procedures and protect store assets and inventory.
Perform housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, steaming merchandise, and maintaining shared spaces.
Participate in in-home appointments and installations and provide product recommendations suited to customers’ spaces and sleep needs.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
