About The Position

The Retail Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows, as well as maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss-prevention policies and may be cross-trained to support other store areas and front-end coverage needs. The position calls for strong customer service, communication, organization, adaptability, and teamwork. Retail customer experience is preferred.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
