About The Position

The Retail Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor scrubbers and buffers, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, recovery, health and safety, merchandising, operational, and loss-prevention standards throughout the store, and is cross-trained to support multiple areas as business needs require. The role also supports customer experience, store culture, and Front End coverage, and may include other duties as assigned. This position is at Marshalls Store 0466 in Ledgewood, New Jersey. The starting pay range is $15.92 to $16.42 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
