Retail Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Retail Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role involves operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing a range of cleaning tasks throughout the store. Associates follow operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and are cross-trained to support multiple store areas and business needs. The associate models customer service and supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. The role requires effective communication with management and colleagues, attention to detail, adaptability, and the physical stamina to complete cleaning tasks and operate floor equipment. Retail customer experience is preferred. The starting pay range is USD $13.25 to $13.75 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits are subject to applicable plan or program terms and, for some benefits, service or hours requirements.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
