About The Position

The Retail Cleaning Associate maintains a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing cleaning tasks throughout the store, while upholding operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, health, safety, and customer-experience standards. The associate is cross-trained in multiple store areas and supports business needs, including Front End coverage and store recovery.

Requirements

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
• Ability to multitask.

• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow the company merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Role-model customer-experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
