About The Position

The Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee supports customers at checkout and over the phone with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent service. The role helps keep the department organized and ready for customers by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor. The employee stays informed about fashion trends and products, assists customers with purchase decisions, and shares information about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and Nordstrom Rewards. The role may also support other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pickup. This is a seasonal position in Women's Shoes at Washington Square. The position requires continuous movement during 6–8 hours per shift, frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching, and frequent hand use for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Employees may handle bulky or awkwardly shaped merchandise, including reaching and lifting items above the head. Regular lifting of items up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds is required. The listed pay range is $19.15–$19.95 per hour, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.
