About The Position

Nordstrom is seeking a seasonal Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee for the Shoes department at Westfarms. The role is suited to someone who is passionate about fashion, positive, energetic, and committed to excellent customer service at the point of sale. The employee assists customers by phone and at checkout, helps keep the department ready for customers, shares product and trend knowledge, and may support order fulfillment and pickup. The position involves continuous movement and regular handling and lifting of merchandise. The listed pay range is $17.80–$18.50 per hour. Pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service.
Listen to customer needs and share fashion knowledge to keep service quick, easy, and enjoyable.
Help keep the department runway ready by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
Stay informed about key fashion trends and products to help customers make purchase decisions.
Build customer relationships by sharing information about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Provide flexible support to other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pickup.
