Seasonal Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support -Women's Shoes - Washington Square
About The Position
The Seasonal Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee helps customers at checkout and over the phone with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service. The role keeps the service quick, easy, and enjoyable by listening to customer needs and sharing knowledge of fashion. It also supports a runway-ready department by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap and sales floor; staying informed about fashion trends and products; and sharing information about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and Nordstrom Rewards. The employee may also support other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pick-up. The position requires movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent use of hands, and handling merchandise, including bulky or awkward items. Employees regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The listed pay range is $19.15–$19.95 per hour, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while delivering excellent customer service.
- Listen to customer needs and share fashion knowledge to make service quick, easy, and enjoyable.
- Help keep the department runway-ready by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
- Stay informed about key fashion trends and products to help customers make purchase decisions.
- Build customer relationships by informing customers about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
- Flexibly support other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pick-up.
