About The Position

Nordstrom is seeking a Seasonal Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee for Women's Shoes at Del Amo Fashion Center. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion, positive, energetic, and committed to excellent customer service at the point of sale. This role assists customers by phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions, while helping maintain an efficient and enjoyable shopping experience. The employee helps keep the department organized and ready for customers, stays informed about fashion trends and products, and may support other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pickup. This position involves continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent hand use, and regularly lifting items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The hourly pay range is $18.85–$19.65. Selling employees may receive commission depending on merchandise sold; apparel, shoes, and accessories commissions typically range from 3% to 14.5%. The position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist customers by phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service.
Listen to customer needs and share fashion knowledge to keep service quick, easy, and enjoyable.
Help keep the department ready for customers by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
Stay informed about key fashion trends and products to help customers with purchase decisions.
Build customer relationships by sharing information about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Support other areas of the store as needed, including order fulfillment and order pickup.
