About The Position

AAA Club Alliance is seeking an enthusiastic, sales-driven Retail Associate Travel Agent to help clients plan domestic and international travel, including cruises, land tours, flights, and hotels. The role is suited to candidates with a passion for travel, sales, customer service, learning, and technology, whether they are new to the travel industry or have prior travel experience. Associates use their travel knowledge and experiences to guide clients, build long-term relationships, and follow AAA’s travel strategy to meet sales goals. They process bookings, payments, and travel documentation in compliance with ARC, DOT, and AAA policies, explain AAA benefits and travel perks, and address client concerns with management guidance. The position includes training, coaching, mentorship, ongoing learning, promotional events, and familiarization trips. With required certification and development, associates may progress to Retail Travel Agent and Senior Retail Travel Agent roles. The company covers the cost of the required certification program and testing and provides paid time to complete it. The position is based at the AAA store at 1713 Hill Road North, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. The schedule is Monday 9 a.m.–6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m.–12 p.m., for a 37.5-hour work week, with Sundays off. Starting base compensation is $16.37–$21 per hour, adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors. The role is also eligible for monthly incentive pay, with an average payout of $550–$1,100 per month after approximately six months of employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of retail experience.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational ability.
Proficiency with travel booking systems and web-based applications.
Working knowledge of geography.
Obtain the Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation within two years of hire.
Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor-specific screenings.
Ability to obtain a necessary Membership license or other license, if required to perform the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or graduation from a travel school.
At least 1 year of experience as a retail or leisure travel agent, or other comparable travel experience.
