About The Position

AAA Club Alliance is seeking an enthusiastic, sales-driven Retail Associate Travel Agent to help clients plan domestic and international travel, including cruises, land tours, flights, and hotels. The role is suited to people with strong sales and customer service skills who are eager to learn and use new technology, whether they are new to the travel industry or already have travel experience. The position involves using personal travel experience to inspire clients, building lasting relationships, and applying AAA’s travel strategy to achieve sales goals. The agent processes bookings, payments, and travel documents in compliance with ARC, DOT, and AAA policies; educates clients about AAA benefits and travel perks, including its branded credit card; and resolves client concerns under management guidance. The role also includes promotional events, training, and familiarization trips. The schedule is 37.5 hours per week: Monday 9 a.m.–6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m.–noon, with Sundays off. The store is located at 1713 Hill Road North, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. The starting base pay is $16.37–$21 per hour, with eligibility for monthly incentive pay averaging $550–$1,100 after approximately six months of employment. The role offers training, coaching, mentorship, required certification, and a career path to Retail Travel Agent and Senior Retail Travel Agent positions.

Requirements

At least one year of retail experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational ability.
Proficiency with travel booking systems and web-based applications.
Working knowledge of geography.
Obtain satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results, including applicable criminal, drug, state, or vendor-specific screenings.
Ability to obtain any necessary Membership license or other credentials required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Complete the required Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation within two years of hire; the company covers the program and testing costs and provides paid time for completion.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or graduation from a travel school.
