About The Position

DXL Group is seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Retail Assistant Store Manager passionate about customer service and coaching team members in a fast-paced retail environment. The role focuses on building long-term guest relationships and delivering an unmatched shopping experience. The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in meeting sales plans and overseeing customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management. They also serve as an apparel product knowledge expert and help coach and train the sales team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Assistant Store Manager role.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Willingness to travel to neighboring store locations.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and move up to 50 lbs.

• Previous experience working in a commission-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome each guest and spend time learning about their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
• Assist the Store Manager in achieving store sales plans and monitoring customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management.
• Build product knowledge and sell and market a broad range of apparel, including private labels, name brands, and tailored clothing.
• Help build a customer-focused sales team through ongoing coaching and training in selling skills, behaviors, and operational procedures.
