About The Position

The Retail Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store activities and helping ensure a positive customer and employee experience. The role includes serving customers, directing employees’ daily activities, supporting merchandising and sales-floor operations, working as a clerk, training new store associates, and completing paperwork and register procedures as directed by the manager. Duties and responsibilities may be changed or reassigned by management.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to reach, stand, and move about for at least 12 hours at a time.
• Ability to use a ladder and lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, offer assistance, answer questions, and help provide a positive customer experience.
• Help maintain a friendly and inviting store environment for employees and customers.
• Direct employees’ daily activities and help ensure the team has the resources needed to be successful.
• Work as a clerk during each shift and help train new store associates.
• Assist with stocking and receiving products in the store.
• Complete daily paperwork and balance and close the register as directed by the manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
