About The Position

The ReStore Front Associate I supports daily store operations by assisting customers, answering questions, and providing friendly, helpful service throughout the sales floor. The role stocks and restocks merchandise, highlights and merchandises inventory to support sales, maintains clean and organized work areas, and operates the POS system to complete transactions accurately. It contributes to a positive, welcoming shopping experience and works with volunteers as assigned. This is a physically active, fast-paced retail position involving frequent movement throughout the store and handling merchandise. The associate may work indoors and outdoors, including assisting with donations, loading merchandise, and maintaining sales floor displays. The role contributes to Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity’s mission and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Retail or customer service experience.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
Ability to lift and move items up to 80 lbs.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work independently within the department while being a collaborative team player.
Willingness to work with volunteers.
Commitment to Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity’s mission and environmental stewardship.
