Restaurant Server (Part-Time)
About The Position
Eilan Hotel and Spa in San Antonio is hiring a Restaurant Server. The resort is a Hilton Grand Vacations property in Northwest San Antonio, near The Rim and La Cantera. It has 165 guestrooms and several food and beverage outlets, including the Social restaurant, the Mercato coffee shop, and a seasonal pool bar. The Social serves breakfast and dinner. The server completes opening and closing duties, maintains a clean and organized service area, and provides courteous service to guests. The role includes taking and entering food and beverage orders, coordinating with cooks and bartenders, delivering orders, processing checks and payments, and completing end-of-day paperwork. The position requires availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as operational needs dictate.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of related experience.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Ability to bend, lift up to 30 lb., reach overhead, climb, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, and move about a work area with limited space.
- Clean, presentable appearance and adherence to the company dress code.
Responsibilities
- Complete all opening and closing duties.
- Supervise and maintain the cleanliness and organization of tables and the service area throughout the shift.
- Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
- Anticipate guests’ needs throughout service.
- Take accurate food and drink orders from guests.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the food menu and beverages, including presentation and preparation.
- Retrieve food and beverage orders from designated areas.
- Connect with cooks and bartenders to ensure accurate preparation.
- Accurately enter orders in the POS system, open tabs following SOPs, and promptly present checks while following payment and cash-handling procedures.
- Complete end-of-day paperwork as outlined by Accounting SOP.
- Perform general cleaning tasks in accordance with health code standards.
- Perform any other reasonable request assigned by management.
