About The Position
The Restaurant Host is the first point of contact for guests and helps set the tone for their dining experience. The role welcomes guests, manages reservations and guest flow, and supports a seamless visit that reflects the hotel’s service standards. The host works with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and guest satisfaction, while maintaining a clean and organized host stand and entrance area. The position requires flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed, and the ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the restaurant.

- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel’s reservation system.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Communicate estimated wait times and accommodate special seating requests when possible.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding hours, menus, and reservations.
- Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans as needed.
- Assist with guest recovery and resolve minor concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance in conformance with company standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
