About The Position

The Restaurant Host welcomes guests and supports a high-quality dining experience by providing information about reservations, availability, venue hours, services, features, and upcoming events. The host manages reservations and waiting lists, communicates seating options and wait times, escorts guests to dining or bar areas, and coordinates with wait staff. The role also includes sharing menu information, attending to guests’ needs, maintaining clean and orderly tables and reception areas, and assisting bartenders and servers as needed.

Responsibilities

Answer questions and provide basic information about reservations, availability, venue hours, and other venue services.
Promote knowledge of the location’s features and upcoming events.
Serve guests using Spare Time Entertainment’s Sequence of Service.
Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
Manage reservations, provide accurate wait times, and monitor waiting lists.
Greet guests upon arrival and departure.
Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas.
Provide extra attention to guests who may require it, such as children and elderly guests.
Provide menus, announce the server’s name, and demonstrate product knowledge from all menus.
Observe guests’ needs throughout the dining experience to help ensure high-quality service.
Prepare unoccupied tables by wiping surfaces, removing debris, and ensuring seats are clean and orderly.
Perform related clearing and cleaning duties, including picking up empty glasses and bottles.
Maintain a clean reception area and keep products organized and restocked as needed.
Assist bartenders and servers as needed.
