About The Position

Indiana Fitness Works is seeking a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse to provide respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting at Grand Valley Health & Rehabilitation in Martinsville, Indiana. The position is full-time, with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends. Available shifts are 6 a.m.–6 p.m. and 6 p.m.–6 a.m.; employees must be able to work every other weekend. Pay is $32–$52 per hour, depending on respiratory or nursing license, experience, and shift. Weekend bonus is available. Ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but not required; on-site training is provided. Respiratory therapy students are welcome to apply.

Requirements

Hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential.
Basic life support certification is required.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Must be able to work every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and record vital signs, including oxygen saturation levels and heart rate.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed.
