Respiratory Therapy - RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, LPN
About The Position
Indiana Fitness Works is seeking a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse to provide respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting at Persimmon Ridge Rehab Center in Portland, Indiana. The position offers 12-hour shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with rotating weekends and a requirement to work every other weekend. Weekend bonuses are available. Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but is not required; on-site training is available. Respiratory therapy students are welcome to apply. Pay ranges from $32 to $52 per hour, depending on respiratory or nursing license, experience, and shift. Indiana Fitness Works is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements
- Certified RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, or LPN.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Basic life support certification is required.
- Must be able to work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
- Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including oxygen saturation and heart rate.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed.
