About The Position
Indiana Fitness Works is seeking a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse to provide respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Centre in Winchester, Indiana. The position is full time, with 12-hour shifts: 6 a.m.–6 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m., and rotating weekends, including every other weekend. On-site training is available; previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but not required. Pay is $32–$52 per hour, based on license, experience, and shift. A weekend bonus is available.
Requirements
- Current certification or licensure as an RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, or LPN.
- Basic life support certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to work rotating weekends, including every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- A current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license is preferred.
- Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but not required; on-site training is available.
- Respiratory therapy students are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including oxygen saturation and heart rate.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory care techniques and disease management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
- Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
