About The Position

Indiana Fitness Works is seeking a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse to provide respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting at Persimmon Ridge Rehab Center in Portland, Indiana. This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts. Available shifts are 6 a.m.–6 p.m. and 6 p.m.–6 a.m., and the position requires working every other weekend on a rotating schedule. A weekend bonus is available. Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but is not required; on-site training is available. Respiratory therapy students are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Hold certification or licensure as an RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, or LPN.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Current basic life support certification.

Nice To Haves

• Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
• Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including oxygen saturation and heart rate.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
