About The Position

Indiana Fitness Works is hiring a respiratory therapist or nurse for its Respiratory Therapy Department at Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton, Indiana. The role provides respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting, with a focus on pediatrics. This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts: 6 a.m.–6 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m. Employees must work every other weekend; a weekend bonus is available. The employer provides on-site training. Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but is not required. Compensation is $32–$52 per hour, with the range based on respiratory or nursing license, experience, and shift. Requirements

Hold certification or licensure as an RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, or LPN.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Current basic life support certification.
Ability to work every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license is preferred.
Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus, but not required.
Respiratory therapy students are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and record vital signs, such as oxygen saturation levels and heart rate.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed.
