About The Position

Indiana Fitness Works is seeking a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse to join its Respiratory Therapy Department at The Belmont Health & Rehabilitation in Columbus, Indiana. The role provides respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting. Candidates with ventilator and tracheostomy experience are preferred, but this experience is not required; on-site training is available. This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts: 6 a.m.–6 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m. The schedule includes rotating weekends, with the ability to work every other weekend required. Pay ranges from $32 to $52 per hour, depending on respiratory or nursing license, experience, and shift. A weekend bonus is available.

Requirements

Hold certification or licensure as an RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, or LPN.
Basic life support certification is required.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Be able to work every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license preferred.
Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and record vital signs, including oxygen saturation levels and heart rate.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed.
