Respiratory Therapy - RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, LPN
About The Position
Indiana Fitness Works is seeking a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse to join the Respiratory Therapy Department at Grand Valley Health & Rehabilitation in Martinsville, Indiana. The role provides respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting. Respiratory Therapy students are welcome to apply, and on-site training is available for candidates without ventilator or tracheostomy experience. This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts: 6 a.m.–6 p.m. or 6 p.m.–6 a.m. The schedule includes rotating weekends, and employees must be able to work every other weekend. Weekend bonus is available. Pay is $32–$52 per hour, depending on respiratory or nursing license, experience, and shift.
Requirements
- Hold a respiratory therapy or nursing credential: RRT, CRT, RCP, RN, or LPN.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Current basic life support certification.
- Ability to work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Current Indiana Respiratory Therapist license is preferred.
- Previous ventilator and tracheostomy experience is a plus but is not required; on-site training is available.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer and document respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including oxygen saturation and heart rate.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide basic life support as needed.
