About The Position

MultiCare is seeking a student enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care Program within Washington State for its Intern program. Under the general supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner, the intern provides respiratory care to patients of all ages, limited to procedures covered in the associated Respiratory Care School curriculum. The intern also serves as an equipment assistant for MultiCare Respiratory Care Departments. The position is listed as 0.9 FTE, with variable shifts, 12-hour schedules, and rotating weekends.

Requirements

• BLS certification is required.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited Respiratory Care Program within the State of Washington.
• Currently in the junior year of a four-year Respiratory Program, or completing the first year of a Respiratory Program in a two-year academic system.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to the assigned population under the guidance of a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Clean, assemble, and maintain respiratory equipment.
• Distribute equipment and supplies within facilities.
• Assess non-stock par levels and communicate needs for the ordering process.
• Assist with special projects as delegated by the leadership team.
