About The Position

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by the prescribing physician, appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Monitors levels of departmental supplies and equipment in accordance with established procedures, and stocks the supply room and patient care areas as needed. May perform respiratory services ordered by a provider under the supervision of a credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapist program and have successfully completed the first semester.
Must remain active in the respiratory therapist program to maintain employment status in the respiratory therapy department.
Must complete the respiratory therapist program within three years from its start.
Must have a current American Heart BLS card.
