About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a per diem Respiratory Therapist for acute care and ventilator management at a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) in Athens, Georgia. The role pays $51.41 per hour and offers app-based shift selection with instant confirmations. The listed shift is a 12-hour day shift, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM ET. The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care under physician orders, including ventilator management and weaning, aerosol and nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, airway clearance, and—where applicable—drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases. The role also includes responding to rapid responses and codes, documenting care accurately, and following infection-control and equipment-safety protocols.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of acute hospital respiratory therapy experience; ventilator experience is required.
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Active Georgia Respiratory Care Professional license.
- NBRC credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
- Hepatitis B series or titer.
- MMR series or titer.
- Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
- Varicella series or titer.

- Critical-care experience preferred.
