About The Position

VitalHire is hiring a PRN Respiratory Therapist for acute care and ventilator management at a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) in Athens, Georgia. Per diem staff select available shifts through an app, with instant confirmations and the ability to schedule ahead as shifts become available. The role pays $51.41 per hour and offers 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM ET.

The therapist provides respiratory care under physician orders, including ventilator management and weaning, aerosol and nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance. The role also involves drawing and analyzing ABGs where applicable, responding to rapid responses and codes, documenting care accurately, and following infection-control and equipment-safety protocols.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of acute hospital respiratory therapist experience; critical-care experience is preferred.
• Ventilator experience required.
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Active Georgia Respiratory Care Professional license.
• NBRC credential: RRT required.
• Active BLS certification.
• Active ACLS certification.
• Negative TB test within the last 12 months.
• Hepatitis B series or titer.
• MMR series or titer.
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years or titer.
• Varicella series or titer.

Nice To Haves

• Critical-care experience.
