About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This is a night position with a 13-week contract duration. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering superior care using advanced respiratory care techniques.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA accredited school for Respiratory Care.
• Valid New York State license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) status from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.

Nice To Haves

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish patient ventilator settings based on metric measurements and advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships.
• Maintain knowledge of acid/base/electrolyte relationships and their implications in life-threatening situations.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Meditech, to document patient care and treatment plans.
