About The Position
This position is for a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the Respiratory Therapy Unit at a 760-bed hospital in Wichita, KS. The unit has 95 staff members in Respiratory Therapy, with 20 FTEs on the day shift and 27 FTEs on the night shift. The unit utilizes V800 Draeger vents, C1 Hamiltons, and Airvo for HHFNC. The Electronic Medical Record system is Meditech. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic personality, adaptable to a fast-paced critical care environment. This unit benefits from 24/7 adult intensive care physician coverage, housing a Level 1 trauma center, a 15-bed PICU, a Level 3 NICU, and the capability for ECMO in adults. Enhanced equipment and technology are continuously implemented to support patient care and foster a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of current RRT experience
- NBRC Certification
- BLS, ACLS, NRP & PALS certifications
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric/PICU experience
- Strong ICU experience
