About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) for its new rehabilitation hospital in Aiken. The role provides care to a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. Candidates with prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learn are welcomed. The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, and performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, have at least a high school diploma.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
- Maintain cardiopulmonary equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
