About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner for its new Aiken rehabilitation hospital. The role provides respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who may require extended hospital care. The practitioner performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures; maintains equipment in working order; and provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Prior inpatient hospital experience is preferred, though a commitment to learn is also welcomed.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in the state of Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
