About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) for its new Wiregrass Ranch rehabilitation hospital. The practitioner provides routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients and maintains equipment in working order. The role also includes phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. PAM Health serves chronically and critically ill patients who need extended hospital care. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcomed, and candidates with a commitment to learning may also be considered.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS certification.
- Must possess and maintain current ACLS certification.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals performing arterial punctures and/or blood gas testing, a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
