About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner for its new rehabilitation hospital in Aiken. The practitioner provides respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, and performs other related duties as assigned. Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment to learn is desired.

Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.
At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn is sought.
