About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population in its hospitals, which provide extended hospital care to chronically and critically ill patients. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, along with other related duties as assigned. Prior inpatient hospital experience is an asset, though a commitment to learn is also welcomed.

Requirements

• Be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
• Possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, have at least a high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment and desire to learn.
• At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
• An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for hospital patients.
• Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
• Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
