About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population in its hospitals. The role involves routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures, as well as maintaining equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested and performs other related duties as assigned. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, or candidates should have a desire and commitment to learn.

Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, a high school diploma is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals.
Maintain equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
