About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner for its new rehabilitation hospital in Aiken. The practitioner cares for a diverse population of chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The role performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures or run blood gases.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment and desire to learn.
Responsibilities
