Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - PRN | Allen Rehab
About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to care for a diverse patient population at Allen Rehab. The role involves caring for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment and desire to learn. The RCP performs routine therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The practitioner also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
- A minimum of one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
Responsibilities
