About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) for its new rehabilitation hospital in Aiken. The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients and maintains equipment in working order. The role also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. The ideal candidate has inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- A high school diploma is required at hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred at hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
- Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for patients as required or requested.
