Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - FT Nights | Rocky Mount Specialty
About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide care for a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and keeps equipment in working order. The role also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested, and performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in the state of Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
- Maintain equipment in working order.
- Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
