About The Position

PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide care to a diverse patient population at its Sarasota Specialty hospital. The position performs routine respiratory therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for hospital patients and maintains equipment in working order. It also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. Candidates with prior inpatient hospital experience are sought, though a commitment and desire to learn are also welcomed. Requirements

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, a high school diploma is required.

Nice To Haves

Prior inpatient hospital experience, or a desire and commitment to learn.
At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.

Responsibilities

Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
Maintain respiratory care equipment in working order.
Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested.
