About The Position
PAM Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide care for a diverse patient population in its specialty hospitals. The practitioner performs routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures and maintains equipment in working order. The role also provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required or requested. The ideal candidate has prior inpatient hospital experience or a commitment and desire to learn. PAM Health provides specialty healthcare services for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The organization emphasizes compassionate, expert care and collaborative work across patient care levels.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital is located to practice respiratory care.
- Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Blood gas licensure is required if employed in Nevada.
- For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical respiratory experience is preferred.
- An associate degree is preferred for hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases.
